Jumpy Squirrel is a supporting country character in the television series of Curious George.
Jumpy lives inside a tree near the front of George's country home. Bill regularly feeds him, and in an episode he asked George to do it for him while he was away.
Trivia[]
- The man stated that Jumpy's great-grandfather, Bouncy Squirrel, had met him when he was still a young boy.
- Unlike most other characters, he is typically referred to by both his name and species. He is rarely called "Jumpy" and is never referred to as "Jumpy the Squirrel".
- At times he is friends with George and other times he does not like George. This is usually because whatever George is doing is scarring him or annoying him.
- In “Creatures of the Night” George saw him sleeping in a log on the ground, while he was searching for the opossum joey’s family. Jumpy was very upset to be woken up by George and wouldn’t leave him alone until George played dead (like an opossum)
- Jumpy Squirrel is terrified of Allie Renkins, likely due to her hyperactivity.
